Direct Support Professional- DSP Day & Residential
Job description
We have exciting full-time, part-time, and substitute Direct Support Professionals opportunities. You’ll spend time implementing fun and creative activities that develop participant skills to help them achieve their personal best on a daily basis in the home, on the job, and in the community. Share your passion, skills, or life experiences with individuals (art, music, sports, cooking, hobbies, etc.) to enhance the quality of life for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Full-time, Part-time and Sub(Per-Diem) positions are available!
- 1st shift (M-F), 2nd shift, or 3rd shift
- No experience necessary!
- $17.25/hour -Day Services
- $18.03/hour- Residential Services
- Plus Additional $2/hr Retention Incentive (For regular scheduled hours. Not to exceed 40 hours. Does not apply to holiday or PTO. Effective upon hire , through June 2023)
- Locations include Avon, Simsbury, Canton, Bloomfield, Farmington.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- High School Diploma/GED
- One year of experience working in the field of Human Services (preferred)
- Valid Connecticut Driver's License -minimum 3 years possession
- Reliable transportation with current auto insurance
- Covid Vaccination (complete 1st series)
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs
- Required to stand, walk, and sit
Hours Available
Hours may be flexible within shift times listed below, including weekdays and weekends:
- FT 30-40 hours per week
- PT 10 to 29 hours per week
- Substitute positions are available and allow the flexibility of accepting hours based on one’s availability.
