Overview:
This position is considered Hybrid, which means that individuals in this position may work both at an approved Offsite location and Onsite at a primary location or multiple locations based on Business Needs. Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive project management, design and construction oversight, advise on the development and implementation of comprehensive, integrated construction projects with a focus on redevelopment plans that support Central Health’s mission, consolidate enterprise administrative functions, and health care service delivery expansion;
2. Provide expert project guidance and direction to achieve project goals;
3. Provide expert and technical advice and assistance to Central Health personnel, developer(s), field personnel, contractors, etc.;
4. Act as liaison between Central Health Executives, external project teams and represent Central Health with external partners;
5. Evaluate plans, scope, criteria, and timelines for construction projects;
6. Provide oversight and guidance to project management team specific to project contracts, expenditures, consultant and contractor payments, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations including change orders;
7. Develop and monitor schedules;
8. Identify complex project risks, lead constructability reviews, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks;
9. Serve as an expert in the development of design and construction project management policies and procedures;
10. Collaborate with project engineers/architects and contractors to discuss designs and design changes and provide resolutions;
11. Ensure project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely and coordinated. Tracks progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines. Reports status and variance;
12. Negotiate solutions favorable to the taxpayers of Travis County, resolve conflicts.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Lead project management of multi-disciplined construction and development projects with direct accountability for project delivery specific to health care delivery service expansion, enterprise administrative function, and real estate on the Downtown Campus. Responsible for the delivery of large, complex health care delivery projects. Manages team of project managers and work with other functional areas to design, construct, and deliver health care facilities. Collaborates with executive leadership, consultants, contractors, and other enterprise personnel as required specific to Capital projects. MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field related to Architecture, Planning, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- Seven (7) years of experience conducting activities related to the project management of facilities, including construction, design, and or redevelopment, ideally with healthcare specific projects with project budgets over $20 million.
- 2 Years of management or oversight of project management professionals.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Construction and design of medical office buildings.
- Work in or for a public sector entity.
