Salary Range: $45.00 - $75.00 Hourly

Requirements (Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification):
  • High School Diploma or GED and three to five years' experience in community outreach, program development, and volunteer management; one year of customer service and supervisory experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license auto liability insurance.
  • Working occasional weekends required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven public speaking and project management experience; Program development experience; Proven ability to coordinate events/programs.
  • Proven skill in interacting with all age groups.
Special Working Conditions and/or Hazards:
  • Employees work indoors and are protected from weather conditions or contaminants, but not necessarily occasional temperature changes.
  • Employees occasionally work outdoors and may not be protected from weather conditions.
Job Duties:
  • Develops strategic community engagement plans and budgets in collaboration with the Court Administrator and Director's Team.
  • Establishes realistic project plans, budgets, timelines, milestones, and success indicator for community programming and engagement activities.
  • Provides monthly, annual, and periodic reporting of activities for all the community programs and engagement activities.
  • Recruit's, trains, mentors, and supervises staff and volunteers on the Outreach Team, ensuring a structure meeting or exceeding expected daily and annual outcomes, including creating and sustaining a culture and programing that is consistent with the vision, mission, and core values of Hamilton County Juvenile Court.
  • Responsible for directing and ensuring the management of volunteer programs, including recruitment, orientation, selection, retention and recognition of volunteers.
  • Monitors ongoing need for volunteers and volunteer programs, working with staff to maintain and grow a volunteer program that supports ongoing Court programs and activities.
  • Works with department supervisors to enhance the volunteer experience through appropriate volunteer guidelines, specific job descriptions, training programs and performance feedback.
  • Works with Court personnel and volunteers to ensure the implementation of community programing and activities as deemed appropriate.
  • Coordinate and supervise the development and implementation of community outreach activities that ensure high quality programming in alinement with the Court's mission.
  • Ensures Juvenile Court is always represented in a professional manner to the public, both regarding materials and in staff/volunteer representation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.

  • Must possess analytical skills/abilities, which include: Ability to analyze and critically plan for Court and departmental issues, as well as interdepartmental issues, including personnel-centered and client-centered processes, policies, legal mandates, goals/objectives, and mission of the Court.
  • Must possess clerical/administrative skills/abilities, which include: Ability to perform administrative skills necessary for carrying out senior management functions of position.
  • Must possess computer/technical skills/abilities, which include: Ability to operate a personal computer and Microsoft Office programs (Word, Groupwise, Excel, Powerpoint); Ability to use various office equipment (computer, smart phone, printer, fax, scanner, copier) as needed.
  • Must possess project/process management skills/abilities, which include: Ability to perform high-level strategic planning and project direction of multiple departments; Ability to develop policies; Ability to run concurrent projects that impact multiple Court operations/functions; Ability to implement processes for all functions of the Court.
  • Must possess written and oral communication skills/abilities, which include: Ability to communicate in a highly professional and diplomatic manner regarding often sensitive subjects and issues both internally and externally to the Court.
  • Must possess advanced knowledge of juvenile system in order to manage the administrative function of the Court, as well as knowledge of budget operations, current trends in the juvenile justice field, and the latest, best practice standards.
