The Director of Facilities, EVS and Security will manage and direct the Environmental Services programs at Barnesville and Harrison to ensure clean, orderly and attractive conditions of hospital facilities. The director will also ensure all of the Operations and Maintenance functions which are necessary in maintaining the physical structures, H.V.A.C., mechanical, electrical systems, and utilities of the hospitals. In addition, the director will be responsible for directing the development, implementation and monitoring of the Security programs for Barnesville and Harrison. EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction, or related field OR successful completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction or related field obtained within four (4) years.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Five (5) years’ supervisory experience in facility operations and maintenance and/or safety and security and/or environmental services.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Master’s Degree in Engineering, Construction, or related field
EXPERIENCE:
1. Ten (10) years’ supervisory experience in facility operations and maintenance and/or safety and security and/or environmental services.

1. Responsible for long range planning and shorter-term goal setting for the departments in conjunction with the overall quality improvement program.
2. Facilitates hospital planning by serving in a leadership capacity both intra and interdepartmentally to ensure communication and goal congruency.
3. Develops annual goals and objectives for the departments based upon institutional needs.
4. Ensures the establishment and implementation of departmental policies and procedures. Consistently compliments and administers hospital policies and procedures.
5. Implements and monitors appropriate staffing levels to ensure efficient delivery of services.
6. Inspects and evaluates physical condition of establishment and supports regulatory compliance.
7. Submits recommendations for painting, repairs, furnishings, relocation of equipment, and reallocation of space to management.
8. Investigates new and improved cleaning instruments and methods.
9.. Responsible for all fiscal matters pertaining to the department.
10. Formulates and implements the hospital safety program to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies (JCAHO, OSHA, state and municipal); develops, secures approval of, and implements policies and procedures related to safety in the hospital in accordance with established code.
11. Monitors departmental personnel matters to include maintaining accurate personnel files, interviewing/hiring of new staff, training, evaluating work performance, auditing of time cards, promotion, counseling, discipline and termination.
12. Maintains inventory of parts and supplies to maximize the operational readiness of hospital building systems and equipment with due respect to the limitations of cost, regulations and relative priorities.
13. Handles emergency and crisis situations effectively and efficiently, up to and including armed response.
14. Ensures that all information relating to security and parking policies and communicated to all patients, visitor and staff.
