Director of Food and Beverage

Reports to Resort General Manager

I. Job Summary

The Food and Beverage Director will oversee all aspects of the food and beverage operations at Callaway Gardens. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of service and guest satisfaction through effective leadership of the food and beverage team.

II. Summary of Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic plan for the food and beverage operations to meet business objectives and enhance the guest experience.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the food and beverage department, including budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, and staffing.
• Hire, train, and motivate a high-performing team of food and beverage professionals, including chefs, cooks, servers, and bartenders.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers to ensure the highest quality products are used in food and beverage operations.
• Work closely with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to coordinate food and beverage offerings for events and special occasions.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Monitor industry trends and incorporate new ideas and concepts into food and beverage offerings.
• Manage the guest feedback process to continuously improve the guest experience.
• Proven success in managing multiple food and beverage outlets, with a track record of delivering exceptional service and profitability across all venues.

III. Educational and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in food and beverage management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a large team.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of current trends and innovations in food and beverage operations.
• Experience managing budgets and forecasting financial performance.
• Strong customer service skills with a passion for delivering an exceptional guest experience.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Able to operate different types of motorized vehicles, including but not limited to automobiles, vans, golf carts, and other all-terrain vehicles as well as ability to enter and exit vehicle multiple times daily.

• Able to move, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist.
• Able to analyze, forecast data, and make judgments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $100,471.00 per year
