POSITION SUMMARY

Coordinate and manage personnel and human resources administration for community. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: managing all aspects of employment (recruitment, hiring, counseling, evaluations, retention, terminations, etc.); interfacing with managers to promote team member relations and assist with conflict resolution; maintaining and enforcing community policies and procedures; and ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible for Compensation Analysis for all positions to ensure appropriate and equitable pay, while considering internal equity

· Interface with Executive Director and managers to assist in employee-related issues and provide overall human resources support to ensure the best outcome

· Assist managers with interpretation of the Team Member Handbook and other policies and regulations·

· Maintain all personnel and medical files in a complete and accurate manner from hire to termination, ensuring that forms are compliant with federal and state guidelines

· Coordinate the recruitment function of the community from job postings, advertising, interviewing, and tracking applications

· Manage payroll for the community

· Administration of all employee benefits

· Administer and oversee the annual Evaluation Process

· Responsible for Workers Compensation Program ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements (cradle to grave administrations)

· Develops strategies for acquiring new talent. Ensure that hiring needs are met by working with the team on recruiting initiatives. Responsible for ensuring the employment process is operating appropriately.

· Ensure HR remains abreast of Best Practices and is well informed of laws and regulations regarding HR Matters. Informs management and supervisor as appropriate.

· Ensure the Team Member Handbook and human resources policies and procedures are accurate and up to date

· Participate in the orientation of new Team Members, including review of the Team Member Handbook, benefits, tax forms, training of safety procedures, etc.

· Responsible for Workers Compensation Program ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements (cradle to grave administrations)

· Develops and implements employee training programs

· Confers with management and supervisors to identify employee needs, ensuring there is open communication

· Ensure that HR represents an approachable posture

· Other duties as assigned by Executive director.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University

· Five to seven years’ experience in human resources with three of those in a management role

· Ability to work with all levels of the organization

· Must be a proactive and strategic leader, representing the community values and standards

· Must be approachable with an open-door policy

· SPHR/PHR Certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as exceptional customer service skills
  • Effective interviewing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to effectively manage Team Member conflict resolution.
  • Detail oriented and excellent organizational and follow-through skills
  • Ability to work on Weekends as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise all members of the Human Resource department including coordinating and approving time off, conducting performance evaluations, counseling, and directing and managing the workflow for the department.

Human Resources Asst.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
