BDR is seeking a Director of Recruiting to join our growing team! This position will be performed virtually from the individual's home office working on EST time schedule. This position requires US Citizenship with a Public Trust or the ability to obtain one.

Role Overview
The successful candidate will provide strategic direction and thought leadership across multiple recruiting and hiring initiatives that directly contributes to BDR Solutions' continued growth and success. This position is responsible for planning and executing key initiatives in support of increasing talent pipelines including but not limited to experienced technical talent across a wide spectrum of technical disciplines specifically within the Information Technology (IT), Program Management, Advisory and Administrative Support, Data & Business Analytics, Supply Chain, and other Professional Services markets. The candidate must have expertise and an accomplished track record managing a dynamic team of recruiting professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and set strategic vision for the recruiting team including goal setting, managing resources and budget, and performance accountability.
  • Evaluate and optimize investments, platforms, and events to promote experienced technical talent hiring.
  • Proven ability to influence across all levels of leadership, teams, and external partnerships to ensure successful joint outcomes.
  • Build and track high-quality pipelines of potential candidates for a variety of technical roles.
  • Partner with recruiters, hiring managers, and leadership to deeply understand the requirements of open positions, build accurate, appealing, and compliant job descriptions, and execute advanced recruiting strategies.
  • Understand the cleared and technical talent markets and be knowledgeable of the industry to successfully run targeted search campaigns.
  • Monitor the recruiting actions of open requisitions and manage the assignments of requisitions to company recruiters.
  • Manage a dynamic job requisition load ensuring that all priorities and goals are achieved.
  • Perform a variety of professional and administrative job functions in support of identifying, interviewing, evaluating, and selecting qualified candidates to effectively meet the organization's staffing requirements.
  • Actively track recruiting activities and metrics to ensure compliance with relevant hiring regulations and laws, including OFCCP.
  • Source, screen and submit qualified technical and cleared professionals for active projects and/or proposals in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Interview candidates using a variety of methods (e.g., structured interviews, technical assessments, and behavioral questions).
  • Maintain the applicant tracking system by documenting all communications and engagements with candidates and keeping meticulous notes.
  • Successfully negotiate candidate compensation requests and close candidates within budget.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Sr. Recruiter working for a federal government contractor that provides IT, Analysis, Supply Chain, and/or PMO services to the federal government.
  • In addition to the above, a minimum of 3-5 years of Recruiting Management experience for a federal government contractor.
  • Experience building and managing a team of 4-6 recruiters.
  • Deep understanding of federal government contracts, proposals, clearance requirements, and what's needed to staff positions in the federal marketplace.
  • Ability to serve as a thought leader when it comes to recruiting strategies, processes, and overall management.
  • Proven success delivering in a self-driven and self-motivating role where delivery expectations have been consistently met.
  • Proven success delivering in a virtual capacity and managing a team of recruiters working virtually from different locations.
  • Solid proficiency using a variety of recruitment tools to source candidates, including complex internet searches, campaign and blitz sourcing, social recruiting, job boards, search engines, networking (LinkedIn, professional associations) and direct sourcing.
  • Proficient experience using Applicant Tracking Systems , ideally JobDiva.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) including MS Teams.
  • Must have outstanding communication skills (written and verbal) and be able to maintain relationships in a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Knowledge of HR laws and practices including but not limited to EEO, OFCCP, and other federal government contracting regulations

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience working as a Recruiting Manager or Lead for a staffing agency that supports federal government contractors as their clientele.
  • Proven experience managing a team of recruiters that has consistently staffed unique or hard-to-fill requisitions with quality candidates within two (2) weeks of job opening.

In addition, U.S Citizenship is required. Select applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-granted security clearance. Individuals may also be subject to a background investigation including, but not limited to criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
