The Role:

At Ora, we view our recruiters as the face of our company, and the key to bringing in new Ora team members, our most valuable resource. As the Director, Talent Acquisition, you will report to the Chief People Officer and partner closely with the People and Culture team as well as Ora leaders to drive the talent acquisition efforts. As the leader of talent acquisition activities & initiatives, the Director of Talent Acquisition will focus on the most critical hiring needs of the business. You will have the opportunity to design and drive Ora's global recruiting strategy and process ensuring our recruiting practices are grounded in data and insights and setting the vision for the future. Operating as a trusted advisor and expert, you will advise, optimize and iterate on existing processes to enable all hiring teams to be successful.

What You'll Do:

  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with Ora's leadership team to ensure that recruiting efforts are aligned with company goals and initiatives
  • Define and measure recruiting KPIs for the Talent team and consistently use a data-driven approach to drive initiatives and set appropriate metrics for the team as well as track and report on upcoming, open, and filled positions weekly
  • Challenge the status quo by continually improving and optimizing internal processes and best practices as it relates to recruiting
  • Establish healthy 2-way feedback loops between the talent team, internal leadership, and Ora candidates
  • Manage full cycle recruiting process to meet the staffing needs of all levels within multiple business units
  • Work with hiring managers and interviewing teams to ensure a full understanding of each position and that candidates are meeting the position requirements
  • Coach and support hiring managers throughout the organization to ensure Ora recruits exceptional and diverse talent globally
  • Set the standard for providing a remarkable experience for all Ora candidates
  • Work to elevate Ora's employment brand in the market.
  • Perform phone and video interviews with candidates while promoting company's reputation
  • Run background checks and review results
  • Create and execute multi-channel sourcing strategy to source candidates and build a talent pool for current and future requirements
  • Coordinate and schedule phone, video, and in-person interviews with the hiring team

What We Look For:

Experience needed for the role:

  • 8 years of full cycle recruitment experience, including interacting with hiring managers throughout the recruitment process
  • Experience successfully managing a recruiting department strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 8 years recruitment experience
  • Deep demonstrated experience building and leading high-performing recruiting teams in a high-growth organization.

Additional Skills & Attributes:

  • Experience with LinkedIn required
  • Experience working with Greenhouse ATS required
  • Has an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion frameworks and concepts with experience in applying them to decision-making, policies and procedures development, interpersonal relations and creating and driving diverse talent pipeline programs.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work as a team player as well as work independently
  • Ability to multitask and perform multiple critical tasks simultaneously
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Maniacally focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement
