Job description

Jennings McCall is looking for an on-call Dishwasher to join our kitchen crew. No experience necessary. The hours for this position vary based on need.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Sufficient English communication and language skills both verbal and written, to enable performance of duties and interaction with management and co-workers.
• To perform daily dishwasher tasks as assigned, effectively and safely, including but not limited to: washing and sanitizing pans, dishes, utensils, bussing bins, pitchers, carafes, carts, areas in the kitchen, etc. as requested
• Banquet dishes and cleanup as assigned or requested.
• Ability to stay on task, work quickly and meet deadlines.
• Carry large full trays or bins of dirty and clean dishes.
• Push rolling carts full of glass and dish ware effectively and safely.
• Putting away clean pots, pans, pitchers, dishes, utensils, etc.
• Take out the trash as needed/ Tend to dirty laundry
• Set up dish room and put silverware away at the end of the day.
• Assist cooks or other kitchen personnel as needed including reading menus and serving up food appropriately, kitchen cleaning, putting away food and supplies etc.
• Sufficient physical strength, understanding and coordination to work assigned tasks and necessary equipment in a safe manner
• To assist with the prevention of any food, supplies, kitchen equipment or utensils, etc. from being removed from the facility
• To keep accurate time worked records, including punching in and out correctly and signing in and out on break board correctly, working a flexible schedule and being available for additional hours or overtime as requested
• Any other tasks assigned by the Dietary Manager or designee.
