We are located on 38 Forest Ave, Glen Cove, NY

Applicants from NYC or any of the boroughs, it may not be economically feasible to travel to us on a daily basis. We need applicants who have reliable transportation, will be on work on time and can do so every Monday-Friday.

We are looking for applicants that can work an 8AM-4PM shift or later, if you are a student or cannot work during these times then please do not apply.

The responsibilities of a dog daycare attendant;

1. Ensure the safety of all doggy guests by constantly supervising them, being vigilant of any rowdy dogs, knowing how to separate any troublemaker and providing the doggy guests with something to do.

2. Clean up the mess that our doggy guests leave behind, best way to mitigate inside accidents is by walking them around the facility so they can properly relieve themselves. Must know how to properly mop all types of floors, how to pick up dog poop and properly disinfect any soiled areas.

3. Have fun with the dogs by running around with them, chasing them, being chased by them, playing fetch, playing a modified version of handball with them, encouraging them to use our doggy playground and other methods that you think will provide entertainment for them. We use enrichment like activities to engage with our dogs, you must be able to follow our directions to ensure that each dog is getting enough attention.

4. Always be on the move to make sure there are no dogs being naughty, making sure that if there is a soiled area that it is cleaned up as quickly as possible.

5. Check in and check out each doggy guest as well as give a warming welcome to all dog parents.

6. Being able to properly handle dogs is preferred, must be willing to work with all types of breeds, sizes and ages.

7. Our doggy guests are treated like children from their paw parent but understand that they are animals and they will rely on instinct if hey need to. Be prepared to be licked, tackled, scratched, and slobbered.

8. Someone that is able to understand dog behavior and or know the signs of when a dog is happy, calm, sad, upset would be preferred.

9. Most importantly, you must love dogs, you do not know have to have one but must love them unconditionally and treat them as your own.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
