Position Summary: The Donor Research Analyst and Prospect Manager reports to the VP, Development to accomplish the department’s objectives and strategies to increase funding opportunities, increase donor retention, grow the major donor base by identifying supporters with the capacity to give $5,000 or more annually. The Donor Research Analyst and Prospect Manager works closely with the VP, Development, Director of Philanthropy, and Development Coordinator and Database Administrator, to analyze and research mid-level donors to support the growth of the donor pipeline.

Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for implementing strategies to support the growth of the donor pipeline by analyzing giving trends among donors who currently give $2,000 or less annually.
  • Proactively develop and implement creative strategies to identify sources of potential major gifts that grow revenue for the mid-level donor program and feed the major donor pipeline.
  • Generate reports and use analysis to identify high-value donors for upgrade strategy. Participates in agency-wide strategy to further evaluate the program.
  • Helps efforts to maximize lists of donor prospects and strengthen partnerships with team members and other departments.
  • Collaborates with Development colleagues to accomplish donor-centered goals, refine donor experiences, and create systems and processes to support donor pipeline development.
  • Prepare briefing materials that include prospect research for donor visits and calls.
  • Manage a portfolio of donors and prospects in the $500 - $1,999 range. Provide high standards of donor stewardship techniques through personal outreach, including thank you calls, personal notes, special invitations, attending events, etc.
  • Serves as a partner and a resource for special events.
  • Completes special projects and duties as assigned.
  • Provides support with department needs during high-volume intervals as needed.
  • Excellent research, presentation, analytical, and writing skills to multiple audiences.
  • Ability to cultivate sound relationships with donors, Board members, and colleagues.
  • Regularly checks personal PPHP email account for important affiliate-related communications, at least every 24 hours.
Qualifications:
Skills, Experience, Education and Licensure:
  • Minimum of three years in non-profit fundraising and proven success in fundraising.
  • Undergraduate degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical ability with financial data.
  • Salesforce database experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel programs.

$65,000 - 78,000 annual salary range, depending on years of relevant experience.
