ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to drive a pick-up truck and/or drill truck to job location
• Ability to operate a truck-mounted diesel-powered rotary drilling rig to collect rock samples and strata information used to determine characteristics of coal seams for mining purposes.
• Supervise individuals on job locations and communicate effectively
• Manage operation of pumps to insure circulation and consistency of drill fluid in hole
• Non-core boreholes include vertical methane degasification holes
• Maintain records of fuel purchases, mileage records, daily report sheets and any other records as required by the Company

Experience

• Experience with Oil, Gas or Coal surface drilling rigs, required
• Class B CDL, preferred

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED, preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Regular and punctual attendance
• Compliance with company policies, procedures and safety standard
• Must perform in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations
• Requires working knowledge of oil, gas or coal surface drilling rigs
• Must be capable of effectively, efficiently and accurately performing duties
• Must be able to successfully pass a post offer drug test and background check
• Must be able to successfully complete industry approved training courses
• Must be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently
• Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship

JOB SCHEDULE AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• General schedule is dayshift 5 days/week.
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed or as schedule requires (subject to applicant’s religious practices)
• Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule on a 24/7 basis (subject to the applicant’s religious practices).
• Ability to lift floor-to-waist and waist-to-overhead
• Ability to push/pull as needed
• Standing, bending, step climbing, crawling and working overhead
• Ability to perform heavy labor and lift 50+ pounds as needed
