Success Rehabilitation is a residential and day treatment rehabilitation program for adults with traumatic brain injury.

STATEMENT OF JOB:
The Driver/Direct Support Professional I (DSP1) is directly responsible to ensure that all transportation needs for clients are met safely and timely.
Transportation may include transportation to medical appointments, recreation outings, errand runs, vocational placements and Structured Day Treatment Programs.
This position will also be responsible in assisting clients as appropriate, in all aspects of daily living. This is a Full-time position.
Reports to: Transportation Coordinator, Residential Program Manager, Clinical
Manager/Program Administrator
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide transportation for clients as scheduled to: medical appointments, grocery shopping, personal/company leisure activities, recreational activities, and approved home visits.
- Ensure client’s safety in company vehicles and use all appropriate safety restraints.
- Assist clients with transfers and activities of daily living as required while in the community.
- Ensures vehicle maintenance and cleanliness.
- Assist clients per ADL Profile as required: bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming/hygiene, apartment/room maintenance, meal prep, medication administration, laundry, and transfers.
- Work in residential areas and day program, as assigned.
- Complete all documentation daily fully and per procedures.
DRIVER/DSP Schedule (must be able to work every Saturday!):
- Tues: 7am-3pm
- Wed: 10am-6pm
- Thurs: 7am-3pm
- Fri: 7am-3pm
- Sat: 11am-7pm
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Driver's License (in good standing)
- At least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience transporting individuals with disabilities.
- Caregiving/direct care experience.
- Knowledge of US and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation rules and regulations.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have own reliable transportation to get to and from work.
- Clean driving record and criminal background check.
- Available to work weekends.
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
