Job description
ACES Transportation Department is seeking drivers to work 12 months part-time (5 hours daily) in North Haven, CT.
Experience with children and adults with disabilities preferred. Onsite training will be provided.
Must be available to work a split shift schedule (Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 9:30a.m. / 1:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.)- Must be 21 years or older
- Must possess a valid Connecticut drivers license for a minimum of 3 years; PSL (V endorsement preferred)
- Subject to background check, drug screening and physical exam
- Must have an acceptable driving record compliant with the Connecticut State Department of Motor Vehicles
- Able to perform the physical requirements of the position, including the safe operation of assigned vehicle
- Able to read and understand route sheet and simple instructions
- Effective communication with passengers, parents and staff
- Able to complete pre and post-trip inspections
- Able to work in a team environment and take direction from management
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
