Early Childhood Assistant Director

Teachable Moments is a small privately owned childcare program with schools in Stoneham and Melrose, MA. TM provides high-quality education for young children. TM is seeking a positive driven, and energetic Assistant Director to join our team for a 16-hour position

Duties & Responsibilities Shared with the Director:

· Curriculum Implementation and Supervision

· Educator Schedules

· Lead, supervise, and develop relationships with Educators

. Cover classrooms as needed

· Enroll, communicate, and engage with families

· Ensure compliance of state regulations (EEC Regulation)

· Maintain facility standards

· Conduct tours of the program

· Purchase necessary equipment and supplies

· Follow handbook, personnel policies, and educator job description

· Work with room parents throughout the year

· Plan and coordinate staff meetings, workshops, CPR & First Aid Training

· Respond to families served in a positive and mindful manner

· Organize all parent events, informational meetings, and workshops

· Coordinate referral services for families and children

· The ability to delegate

Qualifications:

· Massachusetts EEC Director Certified and Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher Certified

· Experience as an early childhood director

· Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Educator or a related field

· Microsoft Office Experience

· CORI, SORI, and DCF background check required

· CPR and First Aid certified

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
