Position Summary
Responsible for execution and ongoing optimization of Kroger's eCommerce (pickup/delivery) strategy. Lead and influence stakeholders, including merchandising, merchandising execution and technology to continually shape a data-driven assortment strategy develop and drive process improvements to achieve complete and on time set up for ecommerce in Ocado markets. Manage a 10+ dotted line cross functional associate(s) to achieve objectives. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
Essential Job Functions
- Develop and champion recommendations for improving our item set up business process and technology
- Lead creative problem-solving efforts to achieve strategy, through highly collaborative cross-functional partnerships with teams including merchandising, merchandising execution, and technology
- Ensure implementation of multiple strategic initiatives running in parallel, including alignment on goals/objectives with cross functional teams, managing project timelines, ensuring all inputs are gathered and delivered in a timely and comprehensive manner
- Manage risks across multiple initiatives, develop mitigation plans, and escalate decisions and unresolved issues as needed
- Manage day-to-day communication, strategic alignment and project management with merchant contacts, and relevant business stakeholders throughout operating matrix; serve as liaison between cross functional working team and leadership
- Monitor performance of shellability in order to meet strategic goals; identify opportunities to improve process or evolve strategy
- Lead or guide analysis to guide strategic business decisions on where and how to focus energy of cross functional teams
- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports

Minimum Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Merchandising, Business Management, Project Management or related discipline
- 5+ years Merchandising experience
- Any experience analyzing customer data
- Any experience with Kroger Category Management Systems, Business Objects, Enterprise Sales Planning (ESP) and 84.51 sciences
- Proven ability to balance long-range, strategic leadership approach with near-term, detailed, day-to-day operational imperatives
- Ability to achieve objectives through others
- Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proven ability to bring resolution under challenging circumstances
- Effective oral and written communication skills including formal presentation
- Proficient across applicable Kroger systems (KCMS, Business Objects)
Desired Previous Experience/Education
- Master's Degree in Merchandising, Business Management, Project Management or related discipline
