These positions are all full-time at 6.5 hrs/day on all student contact days - off on holidays and school breaks!

The schedule is roughly 9:30 am to 4:00 pm (dependent on location needs)

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Salary:
$17.50/hour, or up DOQ with K-12 experience*
$19.10/hour with AA/AAS degree, or up DOQ with K-12 experience*
$19.90/hour with BA degree, or up DOQ with K-12 experience*

*Special Ed Paras serving Centerbased students and classrooms 50 percent or more of their time shall receive an additional $0.50 per hour.
*Special Ed Paras at Bridges, Pathways and River Trail Learning Center shall receive and additional $1.00/hr.

Duties: Assists in the instruction of students with disabilities in mainstream, resource room or center base settings. Although the job duties vary due to the age or level of disability, job duties may include: managing behavior,
monitoring and recording student progress in instructional areas, managing physical needs.

Locations: Numerous positions in the cities of Andover, Anoka, Blaine, Brooklyn Center, Coon Rapids and Dayton.

*Regarding the highly qualified positions: This is due to the school, the positions themselves are the same. You either need 2 years of high education OR you will need to schedule the ParaPro test prior to starting and pass the test in the future to stay in the role at that particular school. You can still apply for these positions without 2 years of college --. If offered a position, the district will pay for the test. Study materials can be provided.

• The ParaPro Assessment is a general aptitude test - It measures skills and knowledge in reading, math, and writing — and the ability to apply those skills and knowledge to assist in classroom instruction.
