An Engineering Technician is needed for an American multinational healthcare company that primarily focuses on products to treat kidney disease, and other chronic and acute medical conditions, in the Round Lake, IL area. This position will work on assignments that are simple or moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations.

• Responsible for performing a wide variety of research and/or development laboratory tasks and experiments.
• Completes work you're leading on time with mentorship and support.
• Capable of using handheld and bench test equipment to obtain test data.
• May make detailed observations, analyze data and interpret results.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and inventory levels for laboratory supplies.
• May also develop and maintain record keeping for experiment performed.
• Perform limited troubleshooting and calibration of instruments.
• Individual usually is assigned routine assembly and testing portions of projects (e.g. Product performance testing).
• Seeks guidance from more experienced individuals to improve quality of deliverables.

Skills:

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous experience working in a laboratory testing setting.
• Basic computer skills such as word processing, data entry, excel, and e-mail.
• Basic science and/or math skills.
• Experience with troubleshooting laboratory equipment (e.g., Instron, etc.) and providing solutions.
• Experience using good documentation practices.
• Knowledge of GMPs.

Education and Experience:

• High School Degree, or GED.
• Previous experience working in a laboratory testing setting.
• Basic Microsoft Office skill with Word, Excel, Outlook.
