In the role of Enterprise Applications Engineer I you will be working in Finance and Administration.
Purpose
The Banner Student Information System team is responsible for delivering on project and support needs managed by Information Services which comprise of strategic and institutional priorities. They support the entire eco system of the educational mission including the Banner SIS, inbound and outbound integrations, application extensions, customizations, and custom developed solutions. The Banner Student Information System is critical to MCW’s Education mission operations and the development team is essential to managing and maintaining this complex environment.
Under direct supervision, the Enterprise Applications Engineer I is an emerging developer gaining hands-on experience within the Banner Student Information System environment.
Virtual locations: Wisconsin, Illinois, Florida, Arizona, Texas, Michigan, Minnesota or Missouri
Primary Functions
- Design, analyze, code, test, debug, modify and document moderately complex applications requiring thorough knowledge of business applications and processes. Convert concepts and ideas into solutions through the preparation of detailed specifications consistent with the IS development methodology for business application projects and customizations that will be integrated with existing applications.
- Analyze and modify existing business applications and processes while following IS development standards.
- Under general supervision, interact with client and technical teams to define requirements, resolve issues and develop solutions.
- Operate within a complex product and business environment requiring the ability to manage multiple requests. Able to maintain focus on priority tasks.
- Collaborate with technical lead, project managers and business to effectively follow project plans and meet required deadlines for addressing all identified project, support and upgrade activities.
- Partner with end-users and technical staff to diagnose and resolve problems relating to a variety of business processes.
Preferred Schedule:
8am - 5pm Monday - Friday
Position Requirements:
Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s degree
Minimum Required Experience: 1+ years of information systems experience, specifically with Banner Student Information Systems (Admissions, Student Records/Registration, Financial Aid, Tuition/AR, Portal (Faculty/Student), Degree Works, Workflow, ODS, Banner Job Submission).
3+ years Oracle Programming skills (SQL, PL/SQL), Unix Scripting
