OPPORTUNITY TO LEAD AND BUILD TEAM IN GROWING MARKET
Aegis is an 27-year old environmental consulting group headquartered in Richmond, Virginia with an established presence in Upstate SC. We are seeking an experienced individual to oversee existing work and client relationships, to leverage and build the team to deliver quality work for our clients, and to build the base of projects in the region.
Role Description:
- Provide technical and analytical support to clients in developing strategies and implementing policies to ensure compliance with federal and state environmental regulations.
- Assist in the development of client permit applications, compliance reports, and contingency plans.
- Conduct site visits to observe and evaluate client activities and procedures.
- Deliver training for clients on environmental regulations, systems and procedures.
- Develop and review technical reports for delivery to clients and regulators.
Projects include air permitting and compliance, development of air emissions inventories, regulatory applicability determinations, BACT and MACT analyses, multi-media environmental auditing, development of contingency plans (SPCC, SWPPP, etc.), water permitting and compliance, training of client personnel, environmental reporting, and Environmental Management Systems. The successful candidate will manage project tasks for small to large projects and program management. The ability to work well both independently and to leverage a diverse team is essential.
Location:
Within driving distance of Anderson, SC. Existing customer base is primarily in the Greenville-Spartanburg area requiring regular on-site / in-person meetings.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in biological science, chemistry, geological science, environmental sciences or engineering and 5+ years of experience in environmental compliance and permitting (air, water, solid waste) in industrial settings. Strong problem-solving capabilities, communication skills, and writing abilities. The ability to deliver work independently and with diverse teams on multiple projects simultaneously. Comfortable with business development / sales. Proficient in MS Office.
Direct experience developing air/water/waste permits and/or permit applications. Responsibility for regulatory compliance, including interactions with agencies for reviews, reporting, and enforcement. PE license is a plus, but not required.
