Pay Range: Union role $31.75/hr with a pay increase after 1st year + yearly bonuses!

We are seeking a reliable and responsible Environmental Control Person. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper handling, disposal, and treatment of all wastes in the plant. The Environmental Control Person will report to the Environmental Control Engineer and work collaboratively with the maintenance force to comply with all safety and fire regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the proper handling, disposal, and treatment of all plant wastes
• Inspect and log all wastes on the premises
• Maintain records and comply with regulatory agencies regarding the storage, labeling, and disposal of wastes
• Maintain qualifications as a general mechanic
• Strong maintenance background
• Background in the sewer district is desirable
• Water treatment experience is very beneficial

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an environmental control role
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and diagrams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to work in a team environment and independently
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $31.75 per hour
