Job Description
Uses Environmental Health & Safety concepts to implement and maintain safety and environmental regulations of the company. Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment and for following the defined policies and procedures. Applies professional level knowledge of subject, including knowledge and experience of a specialty area within single occupational discipline. Decision-making takes into account established procedures, relevant laws, regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and maintaining all safety and environmental activities occurring during the production by conducting safety inspections and walkthroughs.
- Supervising and guiding the production staff that the safety and environmental protocols and regulations are being followed.
- Documentation of safety and environmental activities and incidents, including OSHA logs, safety violation logs, production logs, and company HASP and SOP.
- Frequently reviewing and staying up-to-date on Federal and State OSHA regulations, confirming that all production activities comply, and reporting necessary changes to the company.
- Organizing necessary safety and environmental trainings to the production staff, creating certifications, and keeping up-to-date on staff training validity.
- Participating in company audits to comply with all the safety and environmental requirements required by OSHA and SSPC.
- Assisting with the administrative and production staff with healthcare and emergency needs.
Job Requirements
- Experience or Educational Background in Occupational Health or Environmental Science (preferred but not required)
- Willing to take the required courses to obtain certification
- Computer skills in Microsoft apps, including Word, Powerpoint, and Excel
- Language proficiency in Korean, Mandarin, Spanish is preferred
- Must have valid driver's license and able to commute
- Starting rate - $25/hour (negotiable based on experience)
