ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for helping to maintain and manage our Sherlock’s Escape Rooms site in our local market, and support the manager for your area. Job responsibilities include hosting games and corporate events, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, supervising and training employees, developing site standards, reconciling cash receipts and reports, assisting with scheduling staff, phone answering, booking reservations, sales/merchandising, customer relations, performing opening/closing duties, running weekly or monthly reports as assigned and enforcing and updating company policies and procedures, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2-year associates degree or attending college in a related field and/or 2 years’ relative experience ∙
• Minimum 2 years of excellent customer service experience
• High level of energy, focus, and engagement
• Attention to detail and excellent memory and organizational skills
• Reliable transportation and ability to work overtime as needed
• Computer and social media experience
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Flexible schedule

Minimum Assistant Manager Job Duties:

• Average 30-40 hour work week or as otherwise needed, minimum average no less than 35 hours per week
• Assist and direct various sales and marketing initiatives for our local market and as assigned
• Supervise all staff, train and develop new hires
• Improve and maintain a positive culture
• Ensure bookings and cash reconciliations balance weekly for the Florence / Cold Springs locations
• Develop, update, improve and maintain training and game manual SOPs for our local market
• Coverage for any location as needed or assigned
• Assist with training new or existing leaders or managers at any site as directed by owner
• Assist with ordering and stocking all supplies needed for our local market
• Assist with scheduling as needed
• Regular cleaning of the Florence / Cold Springs locations
• Routine prop and game maintenance and repair for the Florence / Cold Springs locations
• Track escape rate % by room and by Game Master for the Florence / Cold Springs locations - align with all other relevant sites
• Answering phones daily or delegated daily for the Florence / Cold Springs locations
• Involvement in new room concepts, design, and buildout for the Florence / Cold Springs locations
• Establishing promotional opportunities to help build relationships with local organizations/communities

OTHER DUTIES

• Responding to emails and social media inquiries
• Assist with tracking and responding to all social media reviews
• Guest relations
• Development of any standards as assigned
• Assist with maintaining inventory (i.e., props, supplies, merchandise, promotional material, etc.) ∙
• Control room and game room management (i.e., game master supervision, maintenance, setup, shutdown, etc.)
• General cleaning duties
• General maintenance/repair of props
• Travel as needed to and from any Escape Newport location (including Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky)
• Other duties as assigned by management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
