PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. The employee requires manual dexterity to operate all necessary equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus, with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally. Due to safety issues, at the discretion of management, may be required to wear protective equipment. SUMMARY
The Heavy Duty Cleaner is responsible for providing excellent guest satisfaction, through guest assistance, high standards of cleanliness and teamwork. HDC consistently maintains a clean facility, and an environment that promotes a positive attitude that includes a pleasant and entertaining experience for our guests. Be a role model for peers, and co-workers. The Heavy Duty Cleaner is accountable for the overall cleanliness, and presentation of the entire property.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position is responsible for providing a high level of guest service and promoting a positive attitude to create a fun and entertaining experience for our guests and team members.
- Perform duties to clean and sanitize various areas of the casino.
- Responsible for the cleaning of blood spills and body fluids.
- Must maintain ongoing awareness of safety and respond to emergencies accordingly.
- Perform heavy duty cleaning and maintain all guest and employee areas.
- Must have the ability to use various floor care equipment.
- Must have knowledge of safe chemical usage.
- Required standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Must have knowledge of cleaning procedures, floor care and problems areas.
- Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and blinds.
- Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
- Keeps storage rooms clean and organized.
- Answer guests, questions about the facility.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must have 1 year of previous Housekeeping experience.
- Must have knowledge of cleaning procedures, floor care, and problems areas.
- Must have the ability to use various floor care equipment.
- Must have knowledge of safe chemical usage.
- Must have carpet extracting knowledge.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and guest service skills.
- Must understand and speak the English language.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
