Work Year: Summer 2023 Summer Hours: July 5th - August 10thMonday - Thursday7:30 am 12:30 pmWork Location: Hunking SchoolSalary: $40.00/hr (DESE Licensed); $30.00/hr (Non-Licensed)Organizational Relationshipor Line of Authority: Directly responsible to the Summer Academy Extended Year Coordinator and/or the Direct of Special Education and/or his/her designeeStatement of Duties: ?Work with children with Multiple, moderate disabilities?Participate as a member of the Evaluation Team when appropriate.?Evaluate children who have been referred, developing appropriate reports and documents as required.?Train classroom instructional Educational Support Personnel to work with identified students.?Provide, as appropriate, materials for assigned students ?Work cooperatively with the building Principal, other personnel, and with parents.?Coordinate and arrange TEAM meeting process if requested.?Within and beyond the classroom, consistently reinforce school wide behavior and learning expectations for all students, and contributes to their learning by sharing responsibility for meeting their needs.?Responsible for instruction and general duties as indicated by the building Principal, Director of Special Education, directives of the Superintendent of Schools his/her designees, and policies of the Haverhill School Committee.Qualifications: ?Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education as a Teacher of Moderate Disabilities All Levels Required?Proficiency as evidenced through transcripts of undergraduate and/or graduate work in the fields in which candidates apply.
