Job description
Berwick Academy, a PK-12 coeducational day school located in Southern Maine seeks a Lower School Art Teacher. Ideal candidates would have experience teaching with elementary school aged students as well as the flexibility to work with students ranging in age from three to nine years old. A qualified candidate will show strong evidence of exceptional teaching and a keen understanding of the developmental needs of a range of students. A collaborative teaching approach and instructional leadership skills among peers are also hallmarks of a successful candidate. Candidates can expect to teach a full course load in the Lower School, play a meaningful support role in homerooms with our Project Approach efforts, and help with recess/lunch duties in our Lower School. This position begins in the 2023-24 academic year.
