Job description

The Field Safety Assistant is responsible for helping provide safety for employees at all Zemba companies. Assist Safety Manager with any projects or duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

• Ensuring the overall safety of all employees at all Zemba Company locations.
• Investigating any complaints or concerns related to safety.
• Assist in creating and implementing safety policies & procedures while ensuring that they are being followed daily.
• Conduct jobsite safety inspections on a regular basis, depending on the length of the project.
• Attend safety walkthrough meetings before or during each project to analyze safety risks.
• Educate employees on safety standards and expectations.
• Provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace.
• Assist in investigating accidents that occur onsite and identify possible causes of the accident.
• Maintain documentation of the company's safety procedures, accidents and related events.
• Valid Ohio Drivers License (CDL A preferred) for training internally.
• Wearing a proper attire for the job.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
• Act as a liaison between management and field personnel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

• Zanesville, OH: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

• 75% (Preferred)
