Pay Rate: $95,000 - $102,000, Annually

Position Purpose:
To provide premier customer service as the Company’s front line representative to external customers by determining and satisfying customer needs whenever possible.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Give excellent customer service and maintain a positive relationship with large account customers on a continuing basis. This shall include direct communication with large account customers, investigation of service or billing complaints, and reporting unusual conditions or customer inquiries to the Customer Service and Communications Manager.
- Supervise and provide training for the Meter Readers and other responsibilities associated with position. Maintain meter-reading schedules.
- Ensure that all large meters are tested in accordance with Company and Delaware Public Service Commission requirements. This shall include performing field tests of large meters utilizing a portable large meter testing unit and maintaining appropriate records.
- Repair and maintain large meters to meet all applicable accuracy standards and maintain appropriate records.
- Conduct field meter sizing surveys in conjunction with the Company Engineering Department utilizing flow-recording equipment.
- Ensure that all large meter installations are equipped with a proper backflow device and maintain records to ensure that proper testing and maintenance are performed.
- Perform meter-reading duties for large account customers. Review monthly billings for large account customers to ensure accuracy.
- Practice safe operating procedures in conformance with OSHA Regulations and Company safety policies.
- Assist Customer Service and Communications Manager in any special projects that may be assigned.
Education/Experience/Background:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Previous field service and meter reading experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent Customer Service skills. Proven ability to communicate effectively with the public and fellow employees, both written and oral.
- Working knowledge of computers with ability to utilize spreadsheet, word processing and various job related software.
- Basic understanding of operation of water distribution systems including cross-connection and backflow prevention. Basic plumbing and mechanical knowledge skills desired.
- Ability to supervise personnel effectively. Exceptional decision-making and problem resolvement skills are desirable.
- Knowledge of OSHA Regulations and Company safety policies.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
- Valid driver’s license.
