Job description
What you will do?
As the Financial Analyst you will be responsible for assisting with the annual budget, monthly financial reporting (including commentary), RFP responses, the annual Cost Report, forecasting, rate analysis, etc. for the enterprise and its affiliates. Specific responsibilities include:
- Assists with production of monthly financial reporting package (including commentary)
- Provides regular cost analyses, making recommendations for positive correction
- Understands cost environment and prepares projections to assist in strategic financial planning
- Produces accurate financial forecasts
- Compiles relevant data to prepare budgets and justify funding requests
- Reviews existing budgets to monitor operating budget needs through regular review of financial statements
- Assists with annual cost report
- Conducts financial analysis related to RFPs and assists with financial sections of responses
- Attends regular meetings with budget owners to review financial results
- Assists with production of Board of Directors and Finance Committee presentations
- Provides data for monthly operational dashboards
- Updates financial reporting software to reflect organizational changes (e.g. new departments or programs)
- Updates staffing budget to reflect employee movement between departments/programs

What you need:
You need a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field to qualify. Prior accounting and finance experience is a plus. Other Special Requirements:
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to meet time sensitive deadlines on a consistent basis
- Advanced computer skills in a MS Office environment
