Fire Protection Design Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manager

Olympic West Fire Protection, LLC is a full-service fire protection contractor specializing in the design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of commercial fire sprinkler systems. Our mission statement reflects our purpose: “Your life safety is our life’s work.”

Due to growth, we are looking to add an experienced Fire Protection Design QA/QC Manager with prior experience in reviewing and designing fire protection systems in compliance with all codes and insurance requirements. Responsibilities would include reviewing the quality of the design, code compliance, stock listing/material usage, hydraulic calculations, etc. throughout the design process prior to sending to our fabrication and installation teams. Maintaining a leading-edge understanding of the quality processes required in design and providing project oversight and management dedicated to design assurance improvement and sound risk management processes will be key to success in this role.

The ideal candidate for this position will have knowledge of NFPA 13 Sprinkler systems, NICET III or IV Certification(s) and/or a degree in engineering or related field; Code knowledge, NFPA, FM Global, IBC, IFC, and the ability to understand and apply principals of performance based designs; be self-motivated, possess strong attention to detail, work well in a team environment, be deadline focused, and communicate well with customers. Prior experience using BIM REVIT, AutoSPRINK, HydraCAD, Fluid Delivery Calculation and/or other design software preferred.
