Somerfield Health Center is a 5-star, 66-bed skilled nursing facility with 11 assisted living suites on the beautiful campus of The Heritage at Brentwood. We are seeking a hospitality-minded Food Service/Dietary Supervisor to assist in leading our extraordinary food and nutrition team. Job Responsibilities

• Assists the Food Services Manager and Registered Dietician in overseeing the food and nutrition service program and assessing food preferences and nutritional needs of residents

• Assists Sous Chef and culinary team with delivering high quality and nutritious meals to the residents

• Assists in supervision of health center food and nutrition staff

• Schedules work assignments and cleaning schedules for food and nutrition staff and ensures that all standards are met

• In conjunction with or in absence of the Food Services Manager, supervises the physical appearance and ambience of dining rooms and server stations, including table settings and arrangements, floors, drapes, and lighting

• Ensures accuracy of daily meal counts

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in food and nutrition service operations in a healthcare setting preferred

• Associate degree in dietary and nutrition preferred

• ServSafe™ certification preferred

• Ability to explain menus, answer questions, respond to requests, and coordinate meal service process

• Communicates effectively with all levels, including food & nutrition team, dietician, nursing staff, culinary team, other departments, and residents

• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or approved exemption required for skilled nursing facility per CMS
