Summary

Responsible for forklift operation in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

1. Following process flow, uses a forklift to assist in the set-up, tear down and movement of product within the facility

2. Safely operate a forklift in a manufacturing environment, both inside and outside the facility

3. Loading and unloading materials in assigned areas

4. Identifying damages, quality defects, and product need

5. Inspect forklift machinery to ensure a safe operation daily

6. Reading and communicating product need around the facility

7. Driving safety through proper technique and operation of forklift

8. Comply with company policies and procedures

Education and/or Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents in English, and communicate those out effectively. Bilingual skills are preferred, but not required.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and use basic math skills.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to work in a computer system puling information needed for that day’s product movement.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
