Front Desk Agent for Full-Time 3-11, Night Audit, Weekends, Holidays

Job Duties:

  • Greet guests and complete the registration process including inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirmation of guest information and room rate, selection of rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, and ensuring guest knows location of room and other hotel amenities.
  • Assist guests with check-out including ensuring rooms and services are correctly accounted, handling money, processing credit and debit cards accepting and recording various forms of payment, making change, and processing gift certificates and cards.
  • Coordinate with other hotel departments to satisfy guest requests, and field guest complaints, conduct research and resolve and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction.
  • Receive, input, retrieve and relay messages to guests.
  • Respond to guest requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of hotel information including room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, the local area and other general product knowledge and answer guest questions and inquiries.
  • Maintain cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and lobby, Home2 market, work area.
  • Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guest, employees and management.
  • Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times.
  • Complies with all hotel standards, policies, rules, and safety regulations and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • No Experience necessary, but is preferred
  • Proficient in the English language (verbal & written), second language is an asset
  • Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Previous customer related experience an asset
  • Previous PMS experience an asset
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications an asset
  • Must be able to type 25 words per minute
  • Must possess a professional presentation
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
  • Must be flexible in terms of working hours.
  • Must have the ability to handle cash effectively and accurate.

Physical Requirements:

  • Position requires continuous movement, occasionally, you will have to lift or move up to 30 lbs
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include all shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to stand for an eight-hour shift

Experience:

  • Not Required, but is a plus
  • Front Desk: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
