Front Desk Receptionist with Billing Experience
Job description
Our mission is to find a candidate that not only loves the dental field and has dental front desk experience, medical and billing experience, but someone who thrives in a high-performing culture. The right candidate will be able to effectively communicate with the team and patients alike to ensure the ultimate patient experience. We will train the right dental assistant that is willing to float between the front desk and clinical side.
The front desk is the first impression for all our patients and is responsible for greeting patients when they arrive as well as answering the phones to accommodate patients scheduling and rescheduling their appointments. The front desk/billing team member is also responsible to know and understand basic dental terminology, procedures, and knowledge of dental benefits.
The right candidate will also have excellent communication skills to obtain and maintain all proper information for each patient and be able to translate to patients their best treatment options for optimal dental health. Our dental family is growing, and we are looking for the right candidate to take on new measurable tasks with us. At least 1 years of dental experience preferred. Dental Receptionist Responsibilities:
- Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice.
- Billing and insurance knowledge.
- Scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling appointments as needed.
- Updating patient records and documenting procedures/treatments.
- Scheduling follow-up appointments.
- Communicating with dental insurance providers to determine if patients are required to make co-payments.
- Verifying methods of payment and collecting payments as needed.
- Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, photocopying, filing, and faxing.
Dental Receptionist Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Certification in office administration, medical administration, or related fields is advantageous.
- Minimum of 2 years of dental experience.
- Sound knowledge of dental terminology.
- Proficient in dental practice management software. (Denticon)
- Working knowledge of general administrative practices.
- Good telephone etiquette.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
