Job Summary

Located in Richardson, TX - this role includes broad responsibilities leading a soup-to-nuts development team – from project planning to production support. As the team’s Senior Manager, responsibilities will involve:

Project related

• Managing project execution
• Architecture and solutioning
• Actively working with SMEs and business owners in requirements gathering and refinement
• Working with software vendors on coordinating their deliverables

Production support

• Ensuring production issues are being worked in a timely fashion
• Helping clear roadblocks and escalating issues with other teams as needed

Team management

• Developing and retaining talent
• Creating a sense of esprit de corps and urgency
• Performance management
• Compensation planning
• Delegating to other leaders on the team (manager, supervisor, senior developers, scrum masters)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor Degree with 6 years experience OR 8 years experience.
• 3 years experience leading application software development - Application Development Stack / modern JS frameworks.
• Ability to empathize with business partners and communicate and evangelize solutions.
• Modern web application development skills including a familiarity with DevOps, single page apps leveraging modern JS frameworks, back-end development languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Spring, node.js, or .net).
• Project planning, project sizing, resource allocation, Executive reporting on project cost, project sizing and overall project delivery.
• Agile methodologies including scrum and Kanban.

• Multitasking – strong organization, time management and on-time project execution.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience with Spring framework development or architecture.

• Microservices exposure.

• PaaS experience such as Cloud Foundry.

• Azure, AWS, or other such platforms.
