Automotive Safety Manager
This Engineer should be part of the team or a few teams to review the different stages of the different IC designs. The Functional Safety Engineer is a key player ensuring product safety for our automotive customers. They will apply ISO 26262, within a multidisciplinary engineering team that develops ICs for the automotive industry.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety is implemented in the IC design and within the project milestones.
- Communicate and coordinate with Customer Safety Engineers.
- Interpret customer safety requirements.
- Develop and review the system safety architectures
- Derive the Functional and Technical Safety Concepts for each product (FSC and TSC).
- Perform the system safety analyses (e.g. FMEA, FMEDA, and FTA).
- Define tests for verification and validation of safety requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- MSEE in Electronic engineering
- Experience in IC design flows and/or product architecture.
- Knowledge of the principles of Systems and Safety Engineering per ISO 26262
- Experience with MATLAB or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Rigorous problem solving skills
- Some travel may be required for training and to support customer meetings
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with failsafe and fail operational concepts and strategies for safety related systems
- Experience working in the automotive industry
