Global Technical Manager – Hospitality/Casino

Location: Las Vegas

As the Global Technical Manager for the Casino Hospitality Group, you will be responsible for providing Casino specific solutions engineering technical and functional support to both prospective and current clients in conjunction with the sales team for our OPERA hotel management and Simphony food and beverage systems

Not only will you assist in moving the sales cycle along by developing and delivering compelling and engaging presentations and demonstrations that showcase the Oracle Hotel story, you will also be able to clearly articulate Oracle product’s strengths, benefits, competitive advantages, and overall value to our clients particularly as they relate to casinos. Through designing, validating, and presenting Oracle software solutions (which might include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party interfaced products), you will be a critical piece in the success of growing our business.

Our Global Technical Managers provide our clients product direction and specialist knowledge in applying our technology/application to best meet their needs while communicating functional value to client businesses. You will also be involved in educating our internal and external customers on our products and applications through presentations, storytelling and demonstrations.

Responsibilities:

  • Expert level knowledge of OPERA property management, Casino Comp Accounting and Simphony point of sale systems
  • Provide Casino specific support to the presales team.
  • Assist the consulting organization with development their Casino specific training programs.
  • Assist the support organization with development of their Casino specific training programs.
  • Develop and manage the Casino best practices documentation for both OPERA and Simphony.
  • Work with Client Success Managers to support customer projects.
  • Enhance and manage OPERA Product Adoption program.
  • Develop and manage Simphony Product Adoption program.
  • Identify Casino specific product requirements in both OPERA and Simphony to drive adoption in the market.
  • Work closely with F&B and Hotel development teams to drive functional requirements and timelines.

Skills:

  • 7+ years of professional experience, ideally in consultative or strategic customer-facing roles
  • Strong understanding of OPERA V5, OPERA Cloud, Simphony Cloud, particularly in respect to Casino specific functionality.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to derive actionable insights and clearly communicate complex ideas to customer senior executives, while handling questions and objections.
  • Mix of business and technical skills with ability to engage and add value in discussions involving both technology and business strategy.
  • Thrive in working collaboratively and cross-functionally, particularly with Sales, Solution Engineering, Product Management, Product Development, other key partners.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques.
  • Able to travel.
  • BS degree or equivalent.
