The Facilities Department at Saint Michael's College is seeking applications from dependable and efficient seasonal workers for the Grounds Member, Summer Temp position. This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday, from early May 2023 through at least early September 2023. The ideal candidates should have knowledge of grounds equipment and landscaping methods, but we are willing to train for the right candidate.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• General landscaping and maintenance of campus grounds
• General cleaning of campus grounds
• Assists with the moving and storage of all campus furniture, appliances, and equipment
• Assists with the set-up and tear down of all special events
• Supports other departments within Facilities

This position is not eligible for the college’s regular fringe benefits.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of grounds equipment and landscaping methods desired
• Can meet the physical demands expected to successfully perform the essential functions, and occasional lifting and moving of heavy objects
• Valid Driver's license preferred (Note: a candidate interested in driving for this position must be able to successfully pass driving record check)

An offer of employment will be contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, driving record check (if applicable), and a pre-employment physical screening, which is designed to assess the candidate’s ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
