Position Summary
Participates in the growing, and planting and maintenance of campus gardens and flowerbeds. Represent yourself in a professional manner to the department, the community, and to outside groups.
Required Qualifications
Have a positive attitude and an exceptional ability to get along with others.
Valid driver’s license.
High School graduate or equivalent with experience in a related field.

Horticultural background in greenhouse and nursery crop production.

Conditions of Employment
Works occasionally with or near fertilizers/chemicals associated with the plant growing industry. All necessary PPE is provided by W&M.
This position has been designated as essential to the operation of the department and will require reporting to work when the University is officially closed, and is subject to overtime. Incumbent will be required to participate in Facilities Management on-call program.
All staff and faculty must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption or deferral. Proof of vaccination is required upon hire. Additional information can be found under Exemptions and Deferrals on our website.
