Group Safeguarding Lead
£53,040 - £63,648 Dependant On Experience

The post-holder will act as the strategic lead for safeguarding and ensure a robust corporate framework that protects the Trust, our participants, staff, volunteers and commissioners, and that all relevant standards are maintained and developed.

The role will lead the development of an excellent and robust culture of safeguarding practice; providing operational, strategic and corporate direction including complex professional advice on matters relating to safeguarding.

The post holder will lead on promoting equality, diversity and inclusion and on shaping collaborative working practices across the Trust to provide consistency and coherence of standards as well as building a culture of safeguarding awareness across operational teams. Acting as a champion of the continuous improvement culture across Shaw Trust to support operational teams to meet and exceed expectations in line with the Shaw Trust Strategic Directive 2030.

Essential:

You will have:

  • Significant experience within a Safeguarding role at a similar/complex organisation
  • Relevant Safeguarding qualification
  • Relevant senior previous experience in developing and managing complex safeguarding functions, budgets and relationships
  • Experience of report writing and presenting technical information to a high standard
  • Experience of presenting commercially sensitive information to a senior level audience
