The Head of Housekeeping role is a fundamental role in our homes in creating a caring and family environment so our residents can enjoy a happy and comfortable life.
What you will be doing:
- Ensure an excellent environment is provided for our residents at all times
- Clean all areas of the home
- Ensure a hazard free environment
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the premises
- Assist with stock taking and storage of stock, including checking deliveries
- Advise the housekeeper or responsible officer when consumables need to be restocked
- Assist in ensuring a high level of health and safety, cleanliness and hygiene is maintained
- Assist with the preparation of the lounge, dining room or other communal areas
- Disposal of refuse/waste
- Assist with the organisation of resident clothing for laundry
- Accident reports

- Confident and able to make responsible choices and decisions
- Able to direct staff in a positive manner and work well in a small team
- Highly organised and focused
- Flexible and adaptive
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Effective time keeping and time management skills
- Ability to read, understand, and follow directions and work schedules
- Numerical ability necessary to keep work records and for stock control
