Responsibilities

• Manage our accounting and finance functions, including revenue recognition, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial reporting

• Conduct monthly, quarterly and annual FP&A processes, including forecasting and reporting, financial modeling, estimating cash burn rate and runway, and providing updates, trends and insights on financial health to leadership

• Work with our third-party accounting firm to produce accurate monthly and quarterly financials

• Oversee cash and expense management as well as insurance plans

• Build out and maintain processes for financing planning, reporting and budgeting, including working with third party vendors (e.g., Rippling, Quickbooks, Chargebee etc.) to streamline processes; focus on system automation and process improvement with the ability to monitor results

• Assist with options plan and financial valuation reports

• Drive ad hoc special projects for funding initiatives, Board materials, and investor updates

• Support operations team in defining KPI’s and creating dashboards that provide a consolidated view of important operating and financial metrics

Ideal candidate traits

• Prior experience in investment banking, management consulting and/or private equity

• Previously had a finance role at an early stage startup

• A strong understanding of B2C SaaS and fintech

• You have 5 - 15 years of experience in strategic finance, corporate finance, accounting, or FP&A

• You operate and respond in a fast-paced, ambiguous and dynamic environment that is constantly evolving

• You manage, prioritize and execute multiple projects simultaneously with superior attention to detail

• You have strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with non-financial audiences

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Finance or related field

Pay: $160,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• insurance companies: 1 year (Preferred)
• strategic finance, corporate finance, accounting, or FP&A: 5 years (Preferred)
• finance role at an early stage startup: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• exp in investment banking, mgt consulting, private equity (Preferred)
• strong understanding of B2C SaaS and fintech (Preferred)
