Job description
To work as a member of the Anticoagulant team both as a healthcare assistant and as a technician for point of care testing. Please see attached job description for more information about this role.

An exciting opportunity due to retirement has risen for a post holder to be part of the anticoagulant team that is passionate about delivering high standard of care to our patients.

The successful candidate is expected to support the anticoagulation nurse specialists and training will be provided to enable the postholder to become a competent and safe point of care technician.
  • Prepare equipment required for the Anticoagulant patient testing in own work area.
  • Undertake blood sampling from patient to analyze and interpret results.
  • Prepare daily reagents and controls.
  • Record data into daily work sheet.
  • Liaise and communicate relevant clinical information to the anticoagulation clinical nurse specialists.
