Qualifications:

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant license
• One year of experience in hospice preferred, but not required
• At least 18 years of age
• Experience working with the elderly, ill, injured, frail, or impaired
• Possesses and maintains current CPR Certification
• Must be a licensed driver with an insured vehicle in good working order

What does a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) do?

Under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist, you will:

• Perform personal care needs for patients in their homes, an average of 6 patients per day
• Assist in dressing and undressing patients as assigned.
• Assist with toileting activities.
• Take and record vitals such as temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure.
• Report on patient's condition and significant changes to the Case Manager.
• Perform range of motion and other simple procedures as directed.
• Keep patient's living area clean and orderly, as assigned.
