HOST
JOB SUMMARY
The host is responsible for greeting/seating guests and maintaining a wait list. They are the face of the restaurant and their hospitality should be an example of that. Seeking energetic candidate with superior service etiquette to greet and seat guest while maintaining the waiting list.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcomes and greets guests.
- When possible, opens the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant
- Must be energetic with superior service etiquette to greet and seat guest
- Must be courteous and pleasant and have a good personality and make feel guest welcomed to the establishment.
- Superior hospitality skills.
- When on a wait, records guest names and number of people in party
- Provides guests with estimated waiting time
- Accommodates special seating requests for handicapped guests whenever possible
- Walks and talks with the guest as they are seated
- Maintains restroom cleanliness
- Answers the phone with a smile
- Assists in running food to the dining room
- At least 6 months of hostess experience preferred
- Must exude hospitality and charisma
- Is able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurants trading area
