Job description
As a Front Desk Agent at our large full-service hotel, you would be required to regularly interact with people in a positive manner.
We are looking for an employee that enjoys working with the public and will be ready to assist our guests with a smile. You would also need to be very organized, able to easily move from one task to another, and be self motivated to complete daily tasks.
Below is a brief list of the general duties of a front desk agent.
*Sell, register, and assign rooms to guests.
*Audit individual reservations and group blocks for accuracy of information and billing.
*Promote hotel facilities and services.
*Calculate bills, collect payments and maintain cash bank according to policies.
*Post charges to guest accounts: room service, food, liquor and telephone.
*Maintain cleanliness of vans (inside and out) and fuel daily.
*Organize scheduled transportation requests in an efficient manner.
*Provide luggage handling services to and from rooms when needed.
*Direct customers to their needed areas and be able to cross sell hotel amenities.
*Follow attendance policy by being on time for scheduled shifts, working scheduled shifts in full unless instructed otherwise by department supervisor, and providing notification to department supervisor as early as possible and preferably at least 2 hours prior to scheduled shifts if you are unable to work.
*Other duties as assigned or as needed to create Signature Moments for our guests.
