About the service

Chapter House is a residential scheme which offers choices and chances to those who are homeless and may be ex-offenders. To do this you need to be enthusiastic, confident and non-judgemental.

About the role

We are looking for a Housing Support Worker to work with ex-offenders at Chapter House in West Bromwich. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on someone`s life.

As a Housing Support Worker you will provide person centred support to our clients to resettle them back into the Community; leading to fulfilled lives, improved life choices, a reduction in offending and safer communities. Your key responsibility will be to support clients to access benefits and monitor rents. You will have a pro-active approach in seeking solutions in helping clients with benefits based problems and accommodation pathways.

You will take responsibility for completing all essential support tasks whilst maintaining Professional Boundaries and Confidentiality.

Shift Pattern:7am - 3pm or 1.30pm -9pm , including weekends and Bank Holidays

About you

You will need to be an adaptable individual with superb communication skills. You should be passionate about making a difference to someone`s life and the community. A positive attitude and the ability to manage any situation which may arise is essential.

It is essential you hold a UK Driving Licence and have your own transport.
