Christian Care Communities is currently seeking a Human Resources and Medical Records Assistant for our Christian Health Center located in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

Title: Human Resources and Medical Records Assistant
Shift: days - 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Department: Administration

Requirements for HR and Medical Records Assistant:

  • High School diploma or GED. - Required
  • Associates Degree from a 2-year college or technical school- Preferred
  • 2 years of administrative, clerical, or related experience.
  • 1 year of experience in long-term care or healthcare setting
  • Business travel is required for this position, proof of valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities for HR and Medical Records Assistant:

  • Assists in hiring and general orientation of new employees; provides facility tours, issues back-support belts, trains on use of the time clock
  • Works with the Nursing Service Clerk to conduct the new employee orientation for the nursing department
  • Communicates and implements all benefit programs and services, assists employees regarding benefit claim issues and plan changes; distributes all benefit enrollment materials to eligible employees; processes and administers all leave of absence requests disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability, and Family Medical Leave Act (FLMA)
  • Serves as an assistant liaison to the HR Department at the Program Support Center
  • Coordinates the Health & Wellness initiative for the community
  • Distributes employee PPD testing forms to appropriate supervisors and file them in the employee medical records file when completed
  • Maintains current log of employee records, including but not limited to Immunization records; certifications for CPR; professional license for RN and LPN; and FMLA
  • Complies with OHSA data in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Assist with claims related to workers' compensation and unemployment insurance
  • Provides backup administrative support
  • Maintains strict confidentiality regarding personnel and resident information
  • Personifies outstanding customer service to co-workers, clients, and vendors by acting as a subject matter resource in a timely, considerate, and friendly manner, always maintaining the "Golden Rule" approach: practices patience and kindness
