What we are looking for:
We are seeking to fill an HR Coordinator role for our New Braunfels distribution center. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Human Resource and will work with a wonderful collaborative team of HR professionals. This person will have open communications on a daily basis with the entire team and work closely with the team to fulfill the objective of supporting the overall business through our HR services.
The successful candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, great communication skills and a strong knowledge in HR and must be bilingual (Spanish). Most importantly, a good sense of humor.
Overview:
Assist with the day-to-day HR processes for New Braunfels distribution center. Duties heavy seasonal recruiting, employee fun events, new hire orientation, employee data management and employee relations.
Essential Functions:
- Facilitating human resources processes.
- Assist HR department in carrying out various Human Resources programs for New Braunfels distribution center. Maintains employee records to ensure legal compliance.
- Supports VP of Human Resources in educating employees on and enforcing company policies.
- Provides written and verbal employment verifications.
- Assist with unemployment claims.
- Coordinates new hire paperwork. Perform onboarding processes and process data import/export using HRIS and Applicant Tracking systems.
- Handles employee relations under the supervision of VP of Human Resources.
- Answering employee request and questions.
- Coordinates annual performance reviews
- Works closely with management and senior leaders.
- Assist in HR projects, trainings and other events as needed.
- Handle all of the distribution center recruiting:
-Posting of jobs, resume review, phone screens, schedule interviews
-Background & reference checks
-New hire orientation
- Assist with company events.
- Responsible for backing up front office support.
- Supports any other special projects the VP of HR needs. Plus other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-2 years in HR is preferred.
- Must be Bilingual (Spanish).
- Experience in HRIS and applicant-tracking systems is a plus.
- Ability to remain confidential as this role will have access to confidential information.
- Positive and personable demeanor. Excellent collaborator.
- Strong skills using of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Power Point and Excel.
- Strong communication skills both oral and written
- High energy and willing to take initiative.
- Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and be detail oriented.
- Impeccable attendance is a must.
- Ability to work unsupervised for extended periods of time; self-motivated.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends during peak season.
- Ability to adapt to any situation.
