SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Coordinator carries out administrative support functions for the Human Resources department. This position requires a high degree of initiative, discretion, and ability to preserve the confidentiality of sensitive information. This position requires an individual who can work independently, communicate effectively in writing and orally, understand and implement procedures and practices, and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in their work.
WORKING HOURS:
This is a full-time position, and business hours at the Boynton Beach location are Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 5:00PM. We offer full time benefits, including medical, dental, vision and life insurances, paid time off, employee assistance program, tuition reimbursement and pension plan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and approve biweekly time entry, leave requests and FMLA processing. Reconcile HR portion of Bi-weekly payroll. Have knowledge of salaried and hourly pay laws.
- Prepare accrued paid leave/earned leave reports.
- Conducts new hire orientations with particular emphasis on health and wellness benefits, pension and time entry processes. Ensure new and current staff members understand and utilize benefits programs by generating employee communications.
- Prepares agendas for new hire orientation and meetings, ensures appropriate materials are available, and develops meeting summaries, and lists of follow up items.
- Conducts recruitment efforts including staffing events, posting, selecting, interviewing, and using applicant tracking system and scheduling interviews.
- Use data systems to ensure accurate data, pull reports.
- Special projects and ad hoc reporting as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year College or university or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience using MIP Fund Accounting (formerly Abila MIP) software HR module or similar for payroll, and ADP total source for HR administration.
- Three years of experience working in the human resources field with experience completing administrative tasks such as payroll processing, employee database management and/or recruitment.
- Strong familiarity with Florida and Department of Labor wage and pay regulations. Must have advanced knowledge Excel skills.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
